The Field Service Manager is responsible for leading the field service organization to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable delivery of services to customers. This role oversees field service engineers, service coordinators, service partners, and operational processes to achieve customer satisfaction, contractual service level agreements (SLAs), operational excellence, and business growth.

The successful candidate serves as the primary operational leader for field service activities, driving service performance, resource utilization, workforce development, customer relationships, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You'll make a difference by
Leading field service operations across Malaysia by managing day-to-day service delivery, including preventive and corrective maintenance, emergency response, modernization support, and technical services while ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and customer responsiveness. 
Delivering on customer commitments by ensuring services are completed in line with contracts, agreed service levels, quality standards, safety requirements, response times, and operational performance targets. 
Building strong customer relationships by acting as the senior operational contact, conducting service reviews, resolving escalations, and driving customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term loyalty. 
Developing a high-performing service team by leading, coaching, and developing field service engineers, service coordinators, and support teams while strengthening workforce planning, capability development, and succession planning. 
Driving business and operational performance by managing service performance measures, supporting forecasting and budgeting, controlling operational costs, and partnering with sales teams to identify renewals, upgrades, modernization projects, and growth opportunities. 
Improving service delivery through partners and digital tools by managing subcontractors, monitoring partner performance, promoting digital service platforms, and using data and analytics to improve productivity, service quality, and customer experience.

Your defining qualities
Relevant engineering education with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline. 
Strong service operations experience with 8 to 12 years of experience in industrial, electrification, automation, power distribution, data centre, or infrastructure environments. 
Proven field service leadership with at least 5 years of experience leading field service teams and managing customer-facing service operations. 
Experience in service contracts and multi-site delivery with a track record in service-level-driven contracts, service partner management, large service projects, and operations across multiple customer sites. 
Commercial and customer focus with strong business and financial acumen, excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to support customer satisfaction, contract renewals, and profitable service delivery. 
Digital, analytical, and stakeholder management skills with experience using field service management platforms, digital service tools, data-driven decision-making, and strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.
