Job Description

Deliver advanced technical support and on-site services for Vertiv core products (UPS, precision cooling) and associated electrical systems, including RMU, LV/HT systems. Responsibilities include installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting, acting as a senior resource for complex projects while ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Commissioning

  • Install and commission Vertiv power and thermal solutions, RMU, and LV/HT electrical systems at client locations.
  • Configure and calibrate control systems for UPS, engines, transmissions, electric drives, and cooling units.
  • Support firmware upgrades and system optimization activities.

Maintenance & Repair

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on UPS systems, precision cooling units, RMU, and powertrain components.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
  • Provide root cause analysis and corrective actions for complex failures.

Electrification Expertise

  • Service high-voltage systems, battery packs, inverters, and electric motors.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO and high-voltage safety protocols during all operations.

Customer Support

  • Provide technical training and operational guidance to clients.
  • Document service activities, prepare detailed reports, and maintain accurate records in compliance with Vertiv standards.
  • Act as a technical mentor for junior engineers.

Compliance & Safety

  • Follow industry standards and safety regulations during all field operations.
  • Conduct risk assessments for high-voltage and mechanical systems.
  • Ensure adherence to local regulatory requirements and Vertiv safety guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience:
    • 2–5 years in field service for UPS, power systems, thermal solutions, RMU, or LV/HT electrical systems.
    • Hands-on experience with hybrid and electric powertrain components is an advantage.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in diagnostic tools and software.
    • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
