Position Summary
The Field Service Assistant supports field technicians in the maintenance and repair of automatic pool cover systems. This role involves preparing tools and equipment, traveling to job sites, assisting with repairs, and documenting completed work. The Field Service Assistant is also responsible for maintaining a clean and organized service vehicle and work area.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities

- Assist with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing automatic pool cover systems based on service requests.
- Prepare for service calls by gathering all necessary tools and equipment.
- Support verification of critical job site measurements.
- Provide courteous and professional customer service on-site.
- Assist in completing accurate and thorough service documentation, noting all work performed and parts used.
Secondary Functions
- Ensure the service vehicle is properly stocked with required parts and supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service vehicle and work area.
- Perform additional duties during the off-season as requested.
- Carry out other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in a relevant field is a plus.
Required

Experience:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a field service or customer support role.
- Proven experience in handling and resolving customer inquiries and issues effectively.
- Experience with basic troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment or technology.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a field-based environment.
- Proficiency in using basic computer applications and mobile devices for reporting and communication.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and adapt to changing situations.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment as needed, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to various service locations.
