We are seeking an experience and motivated Field Service Foreman to join our Mount Isa team on a lifestyle-friendly 7/7 roster This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing team while working with world-class Caterpillar equipment in a dynamic field service environment.

As a Field Service Foreman, you will play a key a leadership role overseeing daily operations, supporting technicians in the field, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard while reporting to the Service Manager.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Field Service Foreman at Hastings Deering, you will:

  • Lead and supervise field teams – manage and support Field Service Fitters and Technicians to ensure high performance and teamwork.
  • Coordinate field service operations – plan and oversee daily activities across multiple customer sites to maintain efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance – support troubleshooting and offer expert advice to resolve complex issues.
  • Ensure safe and efficient work practices – oversee maintenance and repairs to meet safety standards and operational targets.
  • Build strong customer relationships – maintain positive engagement with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Promote a strong safety culture – drive compliance with company procedures and reinforce safety-first behaviours.
  • Monitor performance and quality – track job progress, labour utilisation, and service standards to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Support continuous improvement – contribute to enhancing processes and performance within workshop and field teams.

What you’ll need:

A successful teammate will have experience in:

  • Hold relevant trade qualifications – maintain certification in Diesel Fitting or a related mechanical trade.
  • Demonstrate leadership capability – apply supervisory experience within mining or heavy equipment environments.
  • Apply strong diagnostic skills – effectively fault-find and maintain Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment.
  • Communicate effectively – utilise strong organisational and communication skills to support team and customer outcomes.
  • Commit to safety and teamwork – promote a safe work environment and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Work independently in the field – manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced field service environment.
