About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Diesel Fitter Mechanic to join our Plant and Equipment team and perform scheduled servicing, repairs, upgrades and breakdown maintenance on AEC’s extensive fleet of heavy-duty plant and equipment. Flexibility and travel will be required to support major projects across Australia. The successful candidate will have a great “can-do” attitude, and will be working from site-to-site, interfacing with our project teams, and performing high-quality maintenance.

Roster: To be discussed with successful applicant.

10 / 4 roster is favoured.

Responsibilities:

• Apply technical trade expertise to perform scheduled servicing efficiently, maximising equipment performance and minimise downtime.
• Diagnose and repair faults and breakdowns quickly and accurately, ensuring high availability of fleet.
• Travel between sites to carry out scheduled servicing, repairs, and breakdown maintenance of all mobile plant and machinery.
• Strictly adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and risk assessment tools

Qualifications

• Trade certification in Mobile Plant Mechanic (preferred), Heavy Road Transport or equivalent.
• OEM experience with Hitachi, John Deere or Case preferred.
• Auto electrical knowledge is advantageous but not a necessity.
• Driver’s license required & Construction Induction Card (White Card) required
