As Field Service Engineer I, you will be the premier technical contact for Honeywell’s customers in the Oil & Gas and process industries. You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and knowledge of distributed control systems (DCS). The ideal candidate is a highly proactive, customer-oriented expert with a deep commitment to site safety and operational excellence, acting as the face of Honeywell at client locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control System : Lead the troubleshooting, maintenance, and configuration of DCS, PLC or network primarily related to Honeywell DCS.
  • Customer & Site Support: Work on-site at Oil & Gas plants and customer sites, acting as the primary technical interface to build strong rapport and deliver proactive solutions.
  • Installation & Commissioning: Site support, for installation, execute startup, testing (FAT/SAT), and commissioning of any control systems related.
  • DCS Integration: Leverage strong distributed control system (DCS), safety systems (SIS) knowledge to integrate with Distributed Control System (DCS), process controls (e.g., Experion PKS).
  • Problem Resolution: Experience in hardware/software issues under pressure to minimize plant downtime.
  • Documentation: Maintain and updates meticulous records of maintenance, configuration changes, and incident reports.
  • Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to site HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and procedures.

Key Experience & Capabilities:

  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in field service engineering within the Oil & Gas or heavy process industry.
  • Control System Knowledge: Deep, practical experience with control system related knowledge especially Honeywell.
  • Customer Orientation: Proven track record of managing customer interfaces, building rapport, and driving satisfaction.
  • Commitment: Highly approachable, committed to project completion, and willing to work on-site at plant locations

We Value (Preferred Qualifications)

  • DCS Related knowledge: Specific to Honeywell control system i.e. C300, Safety Manager and Network setup.
  • SIS Knowledge: Extensive experience with Honeywell Safety System.
  • IT or Cyber security: any relevant knowledge or experience.
  • Technical Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
  • Proactive Attitude: Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of assignments.
