Would you like to join an international team working to improve the future of healthcare? Do you want to enhance the lives of millions of people? Grifols is a global healthcare company that since 1909 has been working to improve the health and well-being of people around the world. We are leaders in plasma-derived medicines and transfusion medicine and develop, produce and market innovative medicines, solutions and services in more than 110 countries and regions.

At Grifols, we believe that diversity strengthens our business, our teams, and our culture. We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities and fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all employees.

We are looking for a System Application Specialist / Field Service Engineer (SAS/FSE)

This is a hybrid technical role combining IT/LIS integration expertise with field service engineering. You will be responsible for supporting connectivity between diagnostic instruments and LIS vendors, conducting log analysis, managing technical communication, and performing on‑site hardware interventions, maintenance, and troubleshooting. You will act as a central link between customers, LIS vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth technical execution and high‑quality service.

What your responsibilities will be

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Communicate with LIS vendors, review technical proposals, negotiate requirements, and coordinate project timelines.
  • Analyze communication logs, identify connectivity issues, and propose effective corrective actions.
  • Follow up internally and externally to ensure timely and successful instrument‑to‑LIS integration.
  • Perform instrument repairs, preventive maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting activities after internal training.
  • Support customer inquiries on technical behavior and basic application topics.
  • Participate in tender processes by analyzing hardware requirements and proposing suitable alternatives (PCs, UPS, printers, etc.).
  • Collaborate with service engineers, application specialists, IT teams, and sales/tender teams to ensure efficient project execution.

Who you are

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • You have 2–5 years of experience in IT, diagnostics, or field service, ideally with exposure to LIS vendors.
  • You have a solid IT background, with understanding of HL7 and ASTM communication standards.
  • You are able to read and analyze logs, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and propose solutions.
  • You are customer‑oriented, organized, detail‑focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • You are willing to travel frequently (up to 70%) and participate in on‑call rotations.

What we offer

At Grifols, we believe that our people are one of our greatest strengths. We are committed to fostering an environment where employees are encouraged to grow, develop, and build strong professional careers.

If you are interested in joining our company, we would be pleased to receive your application.

  • Contract type: Permanent.
  • Hours: Full‑time, 40 hours per week.
