The Field Service Engineer will be working with business-critical production devices and be able to handle the pressure that goes hand in hand with 24/7 production environments. You will have experience working with similar imaging/exposure devices and be familiar with printing processes and workflow solutions. The position is remote in Belgium.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Technical Expertise & Implementation
Proven ability to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot complex hardware and software solutions, ideally within flexo printing environments (RIP, screening, CDI/XPS).
Customer Training & Adoption
Ability to train customers on day-to-day system usage and ensure successful deployment and acceptance of solutions in live production environments.
Customer-Centric Mindset
Strong focus on delivering an excellent customer experience, with a service-oriented, solution-driven approach.
Problem-Solving & Independence
Excellent decision-making, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills; able to work independently and confidently in fast-paced, unfamiliar situations.
Collaboration, Flexibility & Mobility (80% Travel)
Strong teamwork and communication skills, effective time management, willingness to travel (80%), and ability to multitask under shifting priorities.
Education
- Experienced Field Service Engineer (electrical/electronic background)
- Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical, mechanical, and automated systems
- Hands-on experience with laser imaging (CTP), LED/Bank Light exposure, lasers, optics, and alignment
- Solid knowledge of flexographic printing, including prepress, plate making, and print quality
- Experience with customer support and instructor‑led training
- Advanced IT and computer skills (software, systems, networks, MS Office)
- Good English skills written and spoken; French/German or Dutch is a plus
