As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering a variety of service activities, primarily focused on clinical markets with Microarray platforms ( Affymetrix ), PCR and qPCR Instruments Your tasks will include installation, repair, maintenance, and validation services. Your primary goal is to ensure customer satisfaction, provide prompt on-site responses, increase first-time fixed rates, minimize repeated call rates, and contribute to overall service targets. You will follow internal rules, processes, and practices while delivering exceptional service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
Perform all service activities in compliance with internal guidelines and customer regulations.
Provide adaptable telephone support, diagnostics, and on-site services to exceed customer expectations and ensure their success with Thermo Fisher Scientific instruments.
Actively promote our contract products.
Build and maintain professional relationships with customers to achieve loyalty and promptly resolve any critical issues.
Manage company assets, including inventory, tools, software, and vehicles.
Coordinate with relevant partners for service planning and scheduling.
Accurately and timely report all activities as required.
Align activities at customer sites with other parts of Thermo Fisher Scientific and share important customer information with relevant teams.
Requirements:
Professional background in Electronics, Molecular Biology, Engineering, or related subjects.
Minimum of 1-5 years of experience servicing analytical equipment or equivalent applications specialist experience.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels, functions, and regions.
Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks, especially in the clinical and medical market.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills.
Proficiency in PC skills.
Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
Valid driving license.
Willingness to travel mainly within the appointed region (Comunidad de Madrid, Castilla La Mancha, Andalucía, Comunidad Valenciana - 70%) and the rest of the Iberia territory, including the Canary Islands (30%).
Ability to travel internationally, including all EMEA Territory and the US, for training or special calls.
Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
