As a Field Service Engineer for our Radiopharma Systems, you will be a key player in bringing installing and maintaining life-saving technologies to hospitals worldwide. You will focus particularly on the high-energy (>30 MeV) accelerator components at customer locations to ensure seamless interventions on advanced systems that have a real impact. You will help deliver a final, reliable working product within defined timelines that matches quality, performance and customer satisfaction requirements.

Challenges we trust you with

As a Field Service Engineer - Radiopharma Systems, you will:

  • install equipment/systems according to the defined planning, procedure timelines and operating processes
  • maintain equipment/systems according to the maintenance schedule, and repair equipment/systems taking all necessary actions to solve problems
  • debug and report bugs to the R&D Team, and you oversee testing equipment/systems according to the specifications
  • train less experienced colleagues to use properly and safely equipment/systems
  • document and report interventions and actions undertaken in CMMS, with the required level of details and accuracy
  • with the rest of the team, you are on call to provide a helpdesk service and respond to various problems of our clients

Skills and Qualifications

We are searching for an “hands on” Engineer with an excellent team spirit, eager to learn and willing to travel worldwilde.

You have

  • A Master’s degree in electro-mechanics or equivalent through experience
  • Successful experience in installing, maintaining and troubleshooting complex systems (ideally in high-energy physics, nuclear medicine, high-frequency systems, magnet power supplies, radar systems, or optical beam systems)
  • Proven expertise in root-cause analysis, with the ability to lead large-scale system troubleshooting
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and the IBA team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

  • A driven, proactive and hands-on individual
  • Able to organize your work autonomously and take initiatives
  • Willing to travel up to 60% of your time, including mostly week-ends
  • Willing to work different shift times, when necessary
  • Capable of handling pressure in stressful situations
  • Capable of adapting to different cultures and various interlocutors

Compensation package

The total guaranteed annual compensation range (which includes annual base salary, as well as flexible budget if applicable, and car budget in specific locations) for this position is provided below:

Total gross guaranteed annual compensation range:

  • [54.700 – 83.200] Belgium
  • [38.500 – 58.600] Spain
  • [55.900 – 85.000] Germany

The salary range indicated above is provided in compliance with applicable pay transparency requirements and reflects the typical compensation scope for this position based on the role's level of responsibility, required expertise, and location. The actual offer will be determined on an individual basis, taking into account objective and gender-neutral factors including relevant professional experience, qualifications, specific competencies, and internal equity. The range does not constitute a guaranteed salary and is subject to adjustment based on the final assessment of the selected candidate's profile. The role might also qualify for additional compensation elements such as variable pay, profit sharing, and benefits which are not reflected in this range.
