Location: Munich, Germany

About the role

Lotus is looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to provide advanced technical support across our Dealer network in Germany.

As a key technical link between our Dealers and Lotus Head Office, you'll provide hands-on expertise on complex vehicle issues, support challenging repairs and help strengthen technical capability across the network.

You'll combine advanced diagnostics with coaching, technical communication and field insight to improve first-time fix performance, reduce repeat repairs and ensure our customers receive the exceptional service expected from Lotus.

What you'll do

  • Diagnose and support the resolution of complex and non-routine vehicle faults.

  • Provide hands-on support for difficult or repeated repairs.

  • Analyse field data, repair histories and vehicle behaviour to identify root causes.

  • Work closely with Lotus Head Office Technical Support on new and emerging technical issues.

  • Guide Dealers on correct repair methods, diagnostics and fault-finding.

  • Coach and mentor Dealer technicians to improve technical capability and repair quality.

  • Identify technical competency gaps and provide structured feedback.

  • Support technical training plans and work with the Lotus Training Academy on development interventions.

  • Deliver on-site coaching, demonstrations and technical training where required.

  • Support Dealers with escalated customer cases and communicate technical findings clearly.

  • Monitor field performance and emerging technical trends.

  • Support Warranty and Quality teams with vehicle inspections, investigations and technical analysis.

  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of Lotus Aftersales technical standards and processes.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer, Master Technician, or in an equivalent technical Aftersales position.

  • Strong diagnostic capability across complex electrical, electronic and mechanical vehicle systems

  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving capability.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical matters clearly.

  • Coaching and mentoring experience with a passion for developing technical capability.

  • Ability to work independently and effectively organise and prioritise field activity.

  • Strong customer focus and commitment to quality, professionalism and service excellence.

  • Fluent German and English.

You'll help strengthen Dealer technical performance, repair quality and first-time fix rates while reducing technical escalations. Your impact will be measured through stronger Dealer confidence, improved customer satisfaction and effective collaboration with Lotus Head Office.

Additional Information:
