Job Title: Field Service Engineer, Digital Pathology

  • As a Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for managing all aspects of field service support and customer relationship management. The FSE will provide complete services, including installation, repairs, preventative maintenance, and instrument qualifications. Our FSE will be customer oriented, and be eager to drive growth.

What you will do:

  • Utilize proven troubleshooting processes to diagnose and resolve technical issues on a variety of electro-mechanical instruments.
  • Manage service call scheduling, parts inventory, and administrative responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Manage customer relationships, provide written documentation of service activities, and effective interaction and communication with internal technical support personnel, manufacturing, and sales.
  • Provide periodic reports to management including compilations of customer complaints, trend analyses, and suggestions for improvement.
  • Provide on-site product installation and customer training, on an as-needed basis.
  • Review available technical literature to maintain an awareness of current laboratory practices and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of field service experience
  • Familiarity with Digital Pathology/Anatomical Pathology Instrumentation, optical instrumentation, networking instrumentation and Laboratory Information Systems is preferred
  • Must possess strong software skills and computer literacy.
  • Ability to read, interpret and analyze schematics, assembly drawings and wiring diagrams.
