We are looking for a Field Service Engineer (Automation) - Germany whose mission is to be customer focused, able to adapt to different situations, with good problem solving skills around automated installations. Must be a great team player, also comfortable working with other teams and departments, have good communication skills and be willing to be based in Germany.

Why is this role important for Automata?

This position ensures our clients' systems run efficiently, minimising downtime, optimising performance, and providing essential support for complex automation processes. You will play a key role in helping customers achieve greater operational efficiency through our cutting-edge technology and workflows.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Supporting and deploying automated platforms at Automata Germany build facility and customer sites.

• Keeping deployment/service documentation up to date, accurate and punctual.

• Supporting and maintaining automated platforms at customer sites.

• Overseeing 3rd party service providers during maintenance visits.

• Service desk support is also required.

• Any other overseas work as required by the company.

What it takes:

• German/English proficiency.

• Proven experience working in a similar role.

• Experience working with robotics or laboratory hardware, control panels and electrical circuits.

• Python programming skills.

• Customer-facing skills.

• Attention to detail in your work.

Nice to haves:

• Experience of training and/or servicing of Scara robots.

Experience of working within a laboratory environment.
