Job Description

Join our dynamic team at TOMRA Food as a Field Service Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our cutting-edge food sorting systems.

Our local TOMRA office is based in Valencia, and we are always looking for motivated people who want to be part of our organization. We are currently seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer who is based in or around Madrid, Toledo, Valladolid, Guadalajara.

We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to take on the challenge of providing top-notch customer service, encompassing commissioning, operation, testing, integration, optimization, maintenance, training, and repair activities primarily in Spain and Portugal.

This role offers the perfect blend of hands-on work and independent problem-solving, making it an ideal fit for a passionate engineering enthusiast.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Perform field service activities including installation, commissioning, operation, testing, optimization, maintenance, and repair of TOMRA equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring optimal machine performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Carry out mechanical, electrical, electronic, and optical adjustments and configurations.
  • Provide customer training on the operation and maintenance of TOMRA systems.
  • Deliver technical support and expert advice to help customers maximize operational performance and reduce food waste.
  • Prepare accurate service reports and collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer support.
  • Work with innovative, industry-leading technology and act as a TOMRA ambassador.
  • Travel up to 80% of the time, primarily within Spain, with occasional international travel as required.

Qualifications

  • Technical education in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in field service, industrial maintenance, or technical customer support.
  • Proven experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment.
  • Practical knowledge of analog and digital circuits, power supply systems, and PLCs. Required.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Good understanding of IT, networking, and PC configuration.
  • Fluent Spanish and a good command of English (minimum B2 level). Required.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
