Great opportunity for somebody with a background in electrical, mechanical, electronics, instrumentation, avionics, biomedical or similar looking to work on cutting-edge technology.

Join our team as a Varian Field Service Engineer working on Radiotherapy Systems based in Cairns but supporting the wider ANZ team when required.

This role offers a unique blend of hands-on training locally in Australia and internationally, empowering you with knowledge and skills.

A day in the life:

  • Visiting customer sites which include public/private hospitals, private clinics.
  • Performing preventative maintenance, updates, upgrades, corrective service, and installations
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and timely service delivery.
  • Maintaining and expanding your knowledge through continuous training, including self-learning, computer-based courses, mentorship and hands-on experience
  • Adhering to all Environmental, Health & Safety policies


About you:

  • The successful candidate will be trade qualified or university trained
  • Happy to work autonomously
  • Hold an unrestricted driver’s licence
  • Available to work flexible hours when required
  • Able to travel across state, interstate and overseas.
