What You Will Contribute:

The Field Service Engineer will deliver both onsite and office-based customer support, carrying out installation, commissioning, calibration, troubleshooting and maintenance of Badger Meter Products and solutions while ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely and professional manner. This role is customer-facing and requires strong technical expertise, communication skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality service while representing the company in the field.

Job Duties:

  • Install, configure, and commission flow meters, water quality sensors, smart covers, network monitoring systems, leak detection solutions, and related software integrations.
  • Implement and integrate devices using various industrial communication protocols.
  • Handling of repairs and global RMA process
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on installed equipment.
  • Conduct on-site calibration and verification in accordance with regional standards and project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate service logs, calibration reports, and field documentation.
  • Prepare sales and service quotations in collaboration with the commercial team.
  • Support site surveys, technical evaluations, product demonstrations, and tender/project clarifications.
  • Train channel partners, contractors, and end users on proper product operation, maintenance, and software usage.
  • Conduct workshops across the region to strengthen customer capabilities and partner expertise.
  • Develop training materials and customized technical documentation with support from product marketing and product management teams.
  • Provide market insights and customer feedback to support ongoing product and service enhancements.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely closure of service tickets, tasks, and customer requests.
  • Remain proficient and up-to-date in meter and system technology including software, both with Badger Meter products and competitive product offerings

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Instrumentation, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
  • 5 years of professional experience in field service roles within instrumentation, flow metering, analytical instruments or industrial automation.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Saudi Arabia water utilities, contractors, or industrial clients is a strong advantage.
  • Fluent in English & Arabic
  • Strong knowledge of metering technologies (Flow & Energy), water quality sensors and network monitoring solutions.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols: Modbus RS485, HART, Mbus, NB-IoT etc.
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
  • Willingness to learn new products and solutions.
  • Strong communication and customer interaction skills.
  • Ability to work independently in field conditions.
  • Strong interdisciplinary thinking, problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office and CRM software
  • Transparent, structured and pro-active way of working incl. documentation
  • Travel willigness: 60%
  • Saudi Arabia driver license
