The Field Service Engineer will focus on providing technical advice to customers including commissioning, installing, and testing of products/equipment including: Identifying and correcting more complex problems associated with start-up. Researching, evaluating, and recommending new products or equipment upgrades that will meet customer needs. Developing on-going relationships with customers to secure future business. The Field Service Engineer may resolve/troubleshoot implementation problems and/or train customers on the features of the equipment they have purchased.
How you’ll make an impact:
You will perform field service operations with strong technical skills.
You will deliver outstanding services remotely or on-site, including installation, maintenance, and repairs.
You will exceed customer expectations by understanding and anticipating their needs, troubleshooting equipment failures and proactively preventing issues.
You will identify and resolve electrical or mechanical problems with minimal assistance and develop potential sales and business opportunities through customer knowledge.
You will suggest product and process improvements to enhance operations.
You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
A college or university degree in a technical field (electrical or mechanical engineering) is an asset. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitudes.
More than 3 years in Substations, Power Quality/ FACTS Field Services (Problem Identification, Installation, Testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, maintenance, extensions, replacements, upgrades and retrofit, end of life service etc.).
Experience in Industrial Mechanic and Electrical/Substation.
Hands-on experience with substation construction, high voltage equipment, and electrical testing.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and test equipment software.
Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with strong communication skills. Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
