Purpose of the Role

As a Field Service Engineer within our Industrial Quality Solutions team, you represent ZEISS at the customer’s location. You are never in the same place, and every day looks different and brings new challenges. You perform maintenance and repairs, identify opportunities, and provide optimal service to the customer. You are responsible for activities within the Netherlands and will occasionally travel to customers in Belgium or Luxembourg. Your team in the Benelux consists of 10 technical colleagues.

The key responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):

• You handle the daily installation, maintenance, and repair of ZEISS high-tech measuring machines.
• You provide first-line support to customers.
• You identify new needs among existing customers to maximize customer satisfaction.
• You manage your administration, measuring tools, test equipment, and technical documentation and are involved in setting up trade fairs when required.

Required knowledge & experience

You have a passion for delivering excellent service! You can make suggestions for process improvements to enhance customer experience. Additionally, we are looking for the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

• A technical bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with industrial measuring systems and field customer service.
• You are patient, creative, and provide complete solutions for our customers.
• You are stress-resistant and easily maintain oversight.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is a plus.
• You hold a category B driving license.
