What Will You Do?

Accountabilities

1. Servicing
   1. Undertake servicing in terms of customer planned maintenance contracts
   2. Prepare detail planning and schedule
   3. Disassemble and check equipment: Reciprocating compressor, Screw Compressor and Fan
   4. Carry out required maintenance checks and repair activities
   5. Assemble and test run compressor equipment
   6. Put the equipment back in operation
   7. Produce daily and project reports of work done in order to comply with the Service Level Agreement to Manage daily communication and management with clients

2. Installation and Commissioning of New Compressor Installations
   1. Supervise the installation, commissioning and start-up of big heavy duty compressor equipment and lead a group of technicians at site.
   2. Prepare planning schedules, update them periodically and have periodical progress meetings with customer representatives.
   3. Prepare and communicate daily/weekly reports including measurements sheets and complete and comprehensive project report at the end of the I&C project.
   4. Ensure the machine is ready for full production service.

3. Site/Project Management
   1. Manage contract staff, liaise with client representative/s, budget management, maintain schedules including progress reports, QHSE management, quality control management, equipment management and accommodation management to ensure acceptable results for Howden and the Clients.

4. Troubleshooting
   1. Carry out detailed machinery analysis, interpret results and liaise with Howden engineering department on how to most efficiently resolve customer problems.

6. Legal, Health and Safety
   1. Take all reasonable care for own personal health and safety, as well as for that of everyone who may be affected by your action in your workplace.
   2. Liaise and co-operate with company management with regards to the current health and safety legislation and obligations within the location and area where you performing your duties

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

Your Experience Should Be...

• Technical higher professional education program, for example Diploma (Mechanical or Marine Engineering).
• At least 5 years’ experience in mechanical work.
• Knowledge in overhauling reciprocating compressors is essential
• Additional knowledge such as overhauling screw compressor, blowers and fans will be advantageous.
• Good general knowledge of maintenance concepts of compressor and fan components.
• Able to produce report in good standard English
• Spoken English should be of a high standard.
• Good Inter-personal skill to communicate with clients and co-workers.
• Enjoys working independently ,but must also be able to work comfortably as part of a team.
• Good spoken and written communication skills.
• Customer-orientation with a commercial attitude, sense of responsibility, inner drive, tact.
• Ability to cope with stress.
• Capacity to think analytically
