Job Description

MKS Japan is seeking a Field Service Engineer that can manage highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems. Manage installation and repair of MKS broad range of instruments and technologies focusing on Liquid and Dry Ozone, Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), and Residual Gas Analyzer (RGA) products for key accounts in Japan. This position is to be based in Kumamoto Japan.

You are responsible for:

  • Provide highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation, servicing, and repair of MKS equipment and systems. Ensure our equipment are operating normally.
  • Provide basic operational training to customers.
  • Adhere to Field Service processes and operations excellence.
  • Serve as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.
  • Support Sales by providing in-depth technical skills and knowledge.
  • Manage and resolve technical escalations working with management and HQ Product teams.
  • Act with urgency and professionalism to ensure customer satisfaction and success.

What will you bring to the team, along with your curiosity

  • Tertiary education and specialized in Mechanical/Electronics/Control Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related Semiconductor experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills (In Japanese and English).
  • Able to work independently.
  • Work with integrity, is ethical and is able to inspire the trust of others.
  • Strong analytic, business and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated, self-driven, positive approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, high tech environment.

  • Chinese communication skill is a plus (but not mandatory)
