We’re adding Mobile Diesel Technicians to our field service team in Chesapeake, VA.
If you’re a Diesel Technician who likes variety, troubleshooting, and working hands-on in the field, this is an opportunity to put your skills to work on a wide range of heavy-duty trucks and equipment. Instead of spending every day in the same shop, you’ll travel to customer sites in a take-home service truck, diagnose the problem, make the repair, and help get their equipment back to work.
You’ll work on everything from service cranes and roll-offs to street sweepers, dump trucks, and other specialized equipment. Some days may mean tracking down an electrical issue; others may involve hydraulic repairs, preventative maintenance, or a more involved component repair. No two service calls are exactly the same.
You’ll have the support of the MATE team behind you, along with manufacturer and vendor training, while having the tools and equipment you need to get the job done in the field.

Technician level and starting pay are based on demonstrated technical ability across the systems and repairs required for the role.

In 1993, the Company opened an additional facility in Clinton, MD and continued a pattern of growth from that point on.
Today, Mid-Atlantic Waste serves customers with (8) eight fully staffed service locations in the Mid-Atlantic region. These facilities include Easton, MD; Clinton, MD; Chesapeake, VA; New Castle, DE; Salem, VA; Pittsburgh, PA; Manassas, VA; and Hampton, VA.
The Vision
Rich envisioned a company that would offer its customers superior quality in products, service, and parts. This vision has allowed the Company to grow to over 100 employees in eight offices. From the beginning, the Company’s purpose was not just to sell the best waste recycling products in the world but to give each customer outstanding quality, value, and service. At Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems, we strive to take care of the needs of our customers throughout the entire ownership process.
The Future
Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems would not exist without creating value for our customers through top-quality products combined with knowledgeable and committed employees. MAWS continues to find new and innovative ways to stay on top of current trends in the waste industry so as to bring fresh ideas to our customers. We appreciate the confidence and trust our customers have given to us over the past 38 years and will work hard to maintain that trust over the next 38 years.
