Job Description

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Coordinator to join the Data Center Power and Control Starline Team. This is a REMOTE position where you will work Eastern/Central Time Zone working hours. The Field Service Coordinator supports a wide variety of Field Services-related work that varies daily and includes collaboration with sales, marketing, purchasing, and accounting. The position will report to the Field Services Manager and work closely with Regional Sales Managers and the sales rep network to support strong customer relationships and smooth department operations. The role will provide the successful applicant with opportunities for professional growth as the Field Services department grows.

  • This position will require availability to work with clients and technicians during regular business hours and may be eligible for overtime on occasion.
  • Manage daily business tasks to ensure that all service operations are scheduled, completed, and invoiced to the customer.
  • Create and issue purchase orders to third-party contractors.
  • Direct the tasks of administrative personnel to ensure the appropriate personnel and equipment are scheduled for the appropriate location and time.
  • Handle order entry that may be received via email or phone. Orders are entered using the company’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.
  • Although quotes are primarily developed by independent sales representatives, internal personnel may prepare quotes in some situations. The Field Services department will have many customized jobs that require specialized quoting and coordination between Legrand and third-party service providers.
  • Resolve customer service issues, including, but not limited to, tracking orders, providing technical assistance regarding services, confirming on-site service dates, and obtaining on-site requirements prior to the work being performed.
  • Manage general administrative tasks.
  • Work closely with other departments and maintain basic business knowledge to understand where and how to provide and obtain relevant information.
  • Manage the Load Bank rental fleet inventory and schedule shipments and pickups.
  • Perform additional position-related duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Three to five years of experience in a technical customer service role.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prior experience using an ERP system is a plus.
  • Prior experience using Salesforce or scheduling software.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing high-quality customer service, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
  • Good working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet programs, file and record management, and other office procedures.
  • Basic bookkeeping and financial skills.
  • Effectively listens to and understands the perspectives of others, asks thoughtful questions, and seeks clarification when needed to ensure clear communication.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage their time.
  • Actively looks for ways to help others.
  • Applies critical thinking, logic, and sound judgment to evaluate alternatives and identify effective solutions to challenges.
  • Ability to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships by developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time.

Salary and Benefits: $65,000 - $85,000 base plus bonus
