We are looking for a Service Coordinator who takes care of managing and planning of Field Service activities according to customer needs and contracts as well as quality, health, safety and environmental and cost targets, and ensuring customer satisfaction in all activities.

This is a permanent role located in Kobe, Japan, reporting to FS Operations Manager.

  • Coordinates and schedules field service operations, aligning team efforts with customer requirements and service standards.
  • Collaborates with customers and other external stakeholders and acts as a point of contact for field service teams, facilitating communication and shared awareness between technicians, customers, and relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitors field service activities to ensure compliance with safety protocols, service standards, nd operational processes as well as customer policies, guidelines and regulations.
  • Assists in the resolution of technical and operational issues, providing support and guidance to field service personnel.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing enhancements to field service processes.
  • Maintains accurate records of field service activities, including resource allocation, service delivery timelines, and customer feedback.

Main requirements

  • Strong safety-first mind-set.
  • Technical background related to Marine Electrical & Automation/Mechanical Engineering with field service/commissioning experience is preferred.
  • Good communication/negotiation/coordination skills and customer understanding.
  • Good organizational skills and customer empathy, combined with a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Demonstrable team working skills and the ability to adjust and re-plan in dynamic situations.
  • Strong Cost awareness & effectiveness.
  • Good filing management, good reporting and analyzing skills.
  • Fluent in oral and writing both Japanese. English is a plus.
