Job Description


Red Ember Recruitment is seeking to appoint a driven and customer-focused Field Sales Representative.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building strong customer relationships, and implementing effective sales strategies to achieve company sales targets. The role requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills, the ability to identify new business opportunities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service while representing the company in the field.

Overall Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring their needs are met.

  • Develop tailored solutions to match customer requirements.

  • Ensure excellent customer service always.

  • Focusing on Sales & Business Development.

  • Identify new sales opportunities and grow the customer base.

  • Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets.

  • Deliver compelling product presentations and proposals.

  • Lead negotiations for contracts at both national and regional levels.

  • Drive new product launches and secure product listings with key retail partners,ensuring successful placement and stand/wall presence.

  • Order administration such as; writing up orders and processing of orders.

  • Achieve monthly sales targets and KPIs.

  • Visit existing and potential customers regularly within the western cape area.

Client Retention & growth

  • Implement strategies to increase customer loyalty and retention.

  • Conduct regular business reviews with clients to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

  • Provide market insights and trends to clients to support their purchasing decisions.

  • Monitor product performance and work with clients to optimise range and in-store execution.

  • Reporting

  • Work closely with internal teams including procurement, operations, and customer service to deliver seamless client solutions.

  • Prepare accurate forecasts, sales reports, and pipeline updates.

  • Contribute to the development of marketing campaigns and promotional strategies.

  • Submit daily sales reports to management.

  • Collect customer feedback and report to management.


Requirements


  • A diploma in Sales/ Business Management, or a related field (advantageous).

  • Minimum 2 - 3 years’ experience in sales management.

  • Proven track record in B2B sales and account management within the retail industry (essential).

  • Experience managing key retail accounts and negotiating with national or regional buyers

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel when required.

  • Own reliable transport is a Must!
