We are seeking a passionate and driven Field Sales Representative based in the Western Cape region who will play a key role in representing ikeja's brand on the ground, driving sales and building meaningful relationships with customers. This role involves operating in the field to achieve sales targets, maintaining a positive brand image, fostering customer trust and providing valuable insights and feedback to management.

Key Responsibilities
Sales, Lead Generation and Customer Engagement
- Promote and sell ikeja’s wireless internet and hotspot activations within designated township areas.
- Execute pre-sales (lead generation) and sales (customer sign-ups) activities through door-to-door visits, cold calls and in-person meetings.
- Identify new sales opportunities aligned with area priorities.
- Present service plans, pricing and installation processes clearly to prospective customers.
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets, with commission opportunities tied to performance.
- Ensure retention of signed-up customers through follow-up, relationship-building and assistance.
Door-to-Door Collections and Retentions
- Conduct in-person visits to follow up on overdue customer accounts in a respectful and solution-focused manner.
- Reinforce ikeja's value proposition and assist customers in remaining connected where possible.
- Support the collections team by gathering feedback and escalating serious payment issues or disputes.
Oversight of Brand Ambassadors and Field Agents
- Monitor, support and validate Brand Ambassador activity within your zone.
- Report discrepancies or non-performance to your Line Manager.
- Coach and redirect Brand Ambassadors as needed to ensure alignment with company standards.
- Recommend potential community members for Brand Ambassador or agent roles.
Community Engagement and Brand Building
- Build strong relationships with community leaders, landlords and influencers to drive credibility and local support.
- Participate in events, activations and campaigns to build brand visibility and trust.
- Represent ikeja professionally in all interactions with community members and stakeholders.
Reporting and Market Intelligence
- Submit daily field reports covering sales activity, leads, collections/retentions follow-ups and brand ambassador oversight.
- Share insights on market trends, customer feedback and barriers to sales or retention.
- Conduct field-based market surveys and contribute to localised intelligence gathering.
KPI and Campaign Execution
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly KPIs.
- Actively participate in weekly team stand-up meetings and briefings.
- Execute campaigns and tactical activities as communicated during team sessions.
Compliance and Conduct
- Adhere to ikeja's Vehicle Policy and any additional operational guidelines (e.g. tracking, responsible use).
- Respect company procedures for data capture, customer onboarding and collections.
- Uphold company values and maintain cultural sensitivity in all community engagements.
Ad Hoc Duties
- Complete additional tasks or assignments as directed by your Line Manager in support of broader operational objectives.

- Share insights on market trends, customer feedback and barriers to sales or retention.
- Conduct field-based market surveys and contribute to localised intelligence gathering.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a matric certificate (Grade 12).
- A diploma or certificate in sales, marketing, business or a related field will be an advantage.
Experience:
- At least 1 - 2 years of experience in field sales, direct sales or community engagement roles.
- Experience in a target-driven environment with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Familiarity with working in township areas or engaging with diverse communities is highly desirable.
- Understanding of Western Cape areas and current landscape is highly advantageous.
Other Requirements:
- Preferably reside in one of the areas we serve in Western Cape.
- Must have a valid driver's license (for at least 1 year) and access to reliable transportation.
- Proficiency in local languages is advantageous.
- Comfortable working flexible hours, including weekends, to meet community engagement needs.
