Job Description

The Field Sales Engineer, Automation & Applications is responsible for driving the adoption, implementation, optimization, and lifecycle management of Masimo's automation, connectivity, and monitoring solutions across healthcare institutions in Singapore. The role serves as the key technical interface between customers, technical users, clinical users, service teams, and commercial stakeholders to ensure successful deployment, utilization, and long-term value realization of Masimo technologies.

This position combines technical expertise, customer engagement, networking workflow understanding, project management, and commercial support to accelerate market adoption while enhancing customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving the growth and adoption of Masimo's Automation, Connectivity, and Capital Equipment solutions across Singapore.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute strategic business development plans to identify, qualify, and convert automation and capital equipment opportunities.
  • Build and manage a sustainable sales pipeline, including new installations, system upgrades, technology refreshes, workflow optimization projects, and account expansion initiatives.
  • Promote and expand recurring revenue streams, including service contracts, preventive maintenance agreements, software subscriptions, and managed service offerings.
  • Conduct customer presentations, technical demonstrations, workflow assessments, and solution consultations to support value-based selling and customer adoption.
  • Partner with Sales, Clinical, Automation and Service teams to increase wallet share within existing accounts and accelerate new customer acquisition.
  • Support tender submissions, technical specifications, solution design, quotations, business case development, and commercial proposals.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Biomedical Engineering, Information Technology, Procurement, Operations, and key healthcare stakeholders.
  • Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitive activities to identify growth opportunities and support strategic planning.
  • Lead or support automation and capital equipment implementation projects, ensuring successful deployment, customer adoption, and operational readiness.
  • Provide technical expertise for installation, commissioning, integration, troubleshooting, optimization, and lifecycle management of automation solutions when required.
  • Support service escalations and collaborate with Technical Service teams to ensure timely resolution of customer issues and minimize operational disruptions.
  • Deliver product, application, and technical training programs to customers and internal stakeholders to maximize utilization and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, project updates, activity reports, and customer records in accordance with company requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and healthcare industry best practices.
  • Perform other duties or special projects, Automation Technical Services management as requested.
  • Management of all field service and technical customer service activities ensuring adherence to established performance objectives
  • Work with cross function team to prioritize activities related to growth initiatives and existing install bases
  • Optimization of global and local resources for projects and technical services

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in healthcare technology, medical devices, automation solutions, capital equipment sales, technical applications, or customer-facing engineering roles.
  • Proven experience working within hospital, healthcare, clinical, biomedical engineering, or healthcare IT environments.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, medical device integration, connectivity solutions, automation platforms, and capital equipment deployment.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting business development activities, technical solution selling, project implementation, and customer account expansion.
  • Experience engaging with key hospital stakeholders including Biomedical Engineering, Information Technology, Procurement, Operations, and Clinical Leadership teams
  • Strong presentation, communication, consultative selling, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence decision-makers at multiple organizational levels.
  • Experience supporting tender submissions, technical specifications, solution design, business case development, and commercial proposals.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and customer engagements simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to identify customer needs, develop practical recommendations, and drive successful outcomes.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders without direct reporting authority.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to manage complex customer situations and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with healthcare automation, connectivity, interoperability, monitoring systems, or digital health technologies.
  • Knowledge of hospital IT infrastructure, network integration, cybersecurity requirements, and healthcare information systems.
  • Experience managing automation projects, capital equipment installations, or healthcare technology deployments.
  • Certification or formal training in project management, solution selling, healthcare technology, or related disciplines would be advantageous.
  • Field Application Sales & Service Experience

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Information Technology, Healthcare Technology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.

Physical requirements/Work Environment

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Some local travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver’s license is required.
