We have an exciting opportunity for a Corteva Seed Field Sales Agronomist, supporting the PhytoGen and Pioneer seed brands, serving Middle and East Georgia If you have a passion for providing solutions to customers and supporting a high-performing team, this is a great opportunity for you!

This is a virtual field sales position and can be based anywhere within the geography listed above If hired, you will be required to travel and stay out overnight as necessary to support business activities.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop annual agronomic plot and training plans for both internal and external audiences within assigned territories for PhytoGen/Pioneer product lines, including cotton, corn, and soybeans.
  • Coordinate the development and delivery of product management information to assigned territories that optimize PhytoGen/Pioneer seed products by environment and management to drives sales.
  • Deliver “Train the Trainer” activities and content on product knowledge and innovative agronomy for cotton, corn, and soybeans to elevate our teams and own the narrative when telling our story.
  • Provide structured product management training to sellers (primarily retail) that enables them to improve PhytoGen/Pioneer seed positioning with growers. Coordinating field training by territory with CORE plots will help provide retail with local training by environment x management for retail locations.
  • Coordinate information/notes and observations related to the performance and management of PhytoGen/Pioneer brand seed products including Product Knowledge Plot (PKP) programs.
  • Implement PhytoGen/Pioneer brand plot strategy to support sales efforts as well as reinforce product understanding within assigned territories.
  • Support product life cycle management within assigned area through collaboration with the Product Agronomist.
  • Develop and implement NA and Southern agronomic strategies to assist with driving customer influence to help bring agronomic topics forward within assigned territories.
  • Assist retail by supporting key grower calls to drive demand of PhytoGen/Pioneer products assisting with product placement and positioning on the farm.
  • Assist in resolving customer service calls involving product performance and/or agronomic issues.
  • Deliver pertinent agronomy communications to the market to support PhytoGen/Pioneer seed products and drive agronomy knowledge.


What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. A master’s degree in Agronomy or equivalent is preferred.
  • Five (5) years of agronomy experience and proven abilities
  • Must be able to sell, negotiate, and influence
  • Strong agronomy and knowledge of crop production practices
  • Ability to pass a driving record background check

This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
