A well-established structural steel erection and rigging contractor is hiring a Field Safety Representative to support a large-scale data center construction project in Council Hill, Oklahoma.

This is a boots-on-the-ground role. You will spend 90% of your day on-site, working alongside the field crews, building a positive safety culture, and pitching in on field safety tasks when needed. We're open to candidates earlier in their careers who bring the right mix of construction knowledge, safety awareness, communication skills, and willingness to learn.

This is a real chance to grow into safety leadership, project coordination, or field operations on a project expected to run for years.

What You'll Do

  • Work alongside crews in the field to promote safe practices around structural steel erection, rigging, lifting operations, fall protection, and equipment movement
  • Conduct toolbox talks, jobsite safety walks, safety inspections, and hazard assessments, and work with field leadership to correct issues
  • Support new-hire onboarding, site orientations, and safety documentation/paperwork
  • Maintain safety records and assist with incident/near-miss investigations
  • Perform daily equipment inspections
  • Communicate with crews, foremen, superintendents, and GC safety personnel

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • General understanding of construction work practices and jobsite safety
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working with both field crews and supervisory staff
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • A valid driver's license and successful completion of pre-employment screening, including a drug test, are required
  • Able to work the Monday–Saturday schedule, including overtime

Preferred Qualifications

  • Structural steel, rigging, or data center construction experience
  • Previous construction, field, or project coordination experience
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification
  • Coursework or degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or Engineering

Physical Requirements

Active, field-based role on a construction site. Requires extended periods of walking and standing, working at various elevations, and working outdoors in changing weather conditions while wearing required PPE.

What We Offer

  • Competitive benefits package
  • Real growth potential into safety leadership, project coordination, or field operations
  • A long-term, stable project with a team built around safety, accountability, and getting the job done
