Job Description

The Field Safety Coordinator is responsible for the health and safety of employees, subcontractors, and other parties operating under BELFOR control. They act as a tactical resource to ensure site-level compliance and drive a culture of safety through proactive hazard identification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monitoring the safety of the office and employees.
  • Conducts daily/weekly walkthroughs to identify hazards before they lead to incidents.
  • Visits job sites to ensure compliance with federal (OSHA), state, and local safety regulations.
  • Holds regular safety meetings and delivers "toolbox talks" to staff.
  • Monitors employee safety training to ensure completion and comprehension.
  • Intervenes in unsafe work practices and interacts with personnel to correct deficiencies.
  • Maintains PPE inventories and accurate safety documentation.
  • Serves as point-of-contact for hazardous materials sampling requirements.
  • Participates in incident investigations at the guidance of the RSM or HSD.
  • Assist in MSHA-specific inspections and related regulatory audits.
  • Monitor specialized environmental monitoring equipment and industrial hygiene data.[Environmental Only]
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • EPA Lead RRP Certification.
  • Construction or hazardous waste industry experience.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • English language literacy & fluency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and kneeling.
  • Occasional unassisted lifting of up to 50lb (from 0-15% of the time).
  • Able to access and tolerate tight spaces and working at heights.
