Field Representative I, Service Support
POSITION PROFILE
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE/SCOPE: The Service Support Representative (SSR) supports BIS Account Managers through the pick-up and delivery of work to the client office. The SSR assesses each project for deadline, price and client expectations and ensures client satisfaction. The SSR completes the administrative sales process including obtaining a customer signature for all invoiced work.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
�· Delivers messages, telegrams, documents, packages, and other items to business establishments, other BIS locations and private homes as directed by management.
�· Travels to delivery site either on foot, by automobile or by public conveyance.
�· Performs pick-up and delivery of jobs by accurately following a map and/or written instructions
�· Responsible for meeting deadlines by following a standard set of procedures for delivering completed jobs to clients promptly, safely and according to their instructions.
�· Prevents delivery errors by maintaining a safe, clean and orderly work environment
�· Keeps log of items received and delivered.
�· Obtains receipts, signed invoices or other form of payment for articles delivered
�· Complies with reporting requirements by completing all paperwork in a timely, accurate and legible manner (ex. completes all delivery receipts quickly).
�· Responsible for clearly recording client requests through the creation of job tickets, detailing client instructions.
�· Completes all paperwork in a timely, accurate and legible manner
�· May accept new work from customers when delivering completed work
�· Checks completed work for accuracy and compliance with customer requirements prior to delivery
�· Performs hands-on job review with customer upon delivery to ensure satisfaction
�· Troubleshoots problems by communicating effectively and promptly to manager
�· Responsible for maintaining compliance with state and company standards by operating a vehicle in a safe and lawful manner and following company guidelines in the event of an accident and/or injury.
�· Services vehicle driven, such as checking fluid levels and replenishing fuel
�· Presents professional appearance to clients by dressing in professional attire according to company standards
�· Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications)
�· Requires high school diploma/GED; equivalent work experience preferred.
�· Experience with inside or outside sales support preferred
�· Previous experience working in a team environment required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
�· Valid state driver's license and driving record that meets company standards are required.
�· Experience in electronic communication devices is required.
�· Ability to interpret and execute written and/or verbal job specifications
�· Possesses strong verbal and written communications skills
�· Ability to be flexible with regards to scheduling
�· Basics phone and computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
WORKING CONDITIONS, MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
�· Typically, an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise level.
�· Occasional but repetitive exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable working condition, i.e., odors, dirt, grease, oil, noise, fluctuations in temperature, etc.
�· Limited overnight travel possible.
�· Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.
�· Review and understand general instructions - prepare, provide and convey diversified information.
�· Job results are dependent upon proficient application of one or more dexterity skills.
�· A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.
�· Evident physical effort is required to move objects up to 50 lbs.
