Field Representative - Caldwell, ID
This is an exempt level position.

Reporting to the Manager of North American Mint Procurement the role will directly support in the procurement of peppermint and spearmint essential oils from farmers across the Pacific Northwest region. Requiring a proactive and relationship-driven individual to act as the primary contact between ADM and mint farmers. The main objective is to procure high-quality mint oil from farmers that meets ADM’s quality standards. Working to closely monitor and report on crop health throughout the season and oversee the process from planting through harvest and distillation.

Responsibilities

  • Grower Relationship Management: Develop and maintain a personal and positive relationship with existing and prospective new growers.
  • Contracting & Negotiation: Negotiate and execute mint oil contracts ensuring that fair pricing, volume needs, and quality standards are met for both parties.
  • Logistics and Procurement Monitoring: Track and monitor crop progress and estimate harvest yields. Coordinate the pickup of oil from farm distilleries to an ADM facility.
  • Agronomic Support: Conduct regular field site visits to inspect crop health, provide technical guidance on best practices, and ensure proper harvest/distillation techniques to maximize product yield and quality. Keep in close contact and work alongside ADM Agronomist in communication with farmers and assist with test plot work.
  • Market Analysis & Reporting: Provide regular reports on crop conditions, weather impacts, and market trends to internal procurement management team.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all incoming mint oil complies with ADM and industry standards.
  • ERP Capability: Develop proficiency in the ERP system to enter contracts, purchase orders, and receive in oil. Use the ERP systems to pull necessary information related to purchases of oil.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Agribusiness related field preferred; 2-5 years of experience in agriculture; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between:

$54,600.00 - $102,000.00

Salaried Incentive Plan

The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus
