Job Description

Project Managers oversee the installation of new submetering systems at properties under construction and the replacement of existing submetering systems.

Responsible to review the contracts and proposals for content and accuracy. Primary contact for clients and contractors as you schedule installation. coordinate other project related matters.

Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination Coordinate and lead all aspects of submeter installation within the assigned project(s).
  • Flexibility: Determine steps necessary to meet project deadlines. Respond with urgency and flexibility to meet frequently changing project schedules.
  • Data Analysis: Track and analyze project data, including quality, cost, schedule, change orders, and sales data by region, state, and city.
  • Vendor and Customer Management: Where appropriate, source and evaluate subcontractors for each project to ensure quality work and adherence to project budgets; when on-site, build and maintain relationships with key customer stakeholders (portfolio and property managers).
  • Internal Labor Scheduling: Daily truck routing with internal software to ensure timely delivery and installation.
  • Budget Oversight Monitor project budgets and margins, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring profitability.
  • Influencing: Responsible for writing any deductive and/or increase in costs job change orders and working with the appropriate party to gain approval.
  • Communication: Foster effective communication and collaboration among internal and external cross-functional teams, including sales, installation, and product support.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all installations meet high-quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Process Enhancement: Identify productivity trends and recommend enhancements to project management processes and procedures.
  • Progression Reduced oversight by leader to perform in role through revenue activation targets, positive job change orders delivering more revenue than initially contracted due to missed scope, increased difficulty in projects supported such as California W&M requirements and more of a SME for Gas and Electric submetering system installs.

Qualifications

  • Education: College Degree, or High School Diploma with relevant experience required.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of Project Management or consummate experience required
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 5% to visit projects and/or vendors.
  • Vendor Management: Experience in sourcing and evaluating subcontractors for construction projects.
  • Budget Management: Familiarity with budget oversight and cost control measures.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Required:

  • Must have strong mathematical skills for product calculations, which are critical to the project
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required (verbal and written)
  • Must Possess a positive “I Can” attitude
  • Ability to follow procedures and maintain continuity with the rest of the PM department
  • Strong organizational skills, and a high level of attention to detail required.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment dealing with complex issues on an on-going basis required.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Must be self-motivated, and able to work both independently and in a group.
  • Must be deadline driven, and goal oriented.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must have the ability to operate a personal computer and express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word. May be required to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. May be required to lift or move 10+ pounds.

Compensation may vary depending on your location, qualifications including job-related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of these ranges. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus, and sales incentives depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role as well as individual performance. Pay Range

USD $85,200.00 - USD $145,200.00 /Yr.
