Who We Are

Neurocrine Biosciences is a leading biopharmaceutical company with a simple purpose: to relieve suffering for people with great needs. We are dedicated to discovering, developing and commercializing life-changing treatments for patients with under-addressed neurological, psychiatric, endocrine and immunological disorders. The company's diverse portfolio includes FDA-approved treatments for tardive dyskinesia, chorea associated with Huntington's disease, classic congenital adrenal hyperplasia, hyperphagia in Prader-Willi syndrome, endometriosis* and uterine fibroids*, as well as a robust pipeline including multiple compounds in mid- to late-phase clinical development across our core therapeutic areas. About the Role

The Field Operations Manager (Market Access) is primarily responsible for building, maintaining, and continuously improving the reports and dashboards used by Neurocrine's field-based Market Access teams. This is a hands-on, build-and-maintain role: the Manager is the go-to owner for creating new dashboards, keeping existing ones accurate and running, and evolving them as field needs change. This role is dedicated solely to Market Access.

In support of this core dashboarding work, the Manager also helps ensure the payer data feeding those dashboards is accurately mastered and works closely with Data Management and Commercial Analytics so that reporting stays aligned with broader data and analytics initiatives. The role directly supports Trade Account Managers, National Account Directors, Corporate Account Managers, Trade/Channel teams, and Payer Marketing, ensuring each has reliable, timely, easy-to-use dashboards to run their piece of the business

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to)

  • Build new reports and dashboards for Market Access field teams from the ground up — gathering requirements, designing the layout and metrics, and delivering a finished, field-ready product
  • Partners closely with Field Market Access Leadership, Commercial Effectiveness, and Field Ops to ensure that field Market Access reports are consistently aligned with the Commercial and Market Access strategies
  • Owns day-to-day maintenance of existing dashboards, ensuring data refreshes run on schedule, reports stay accurate, and issues are caught and fixed quickly
  • Responsible for ensuring clear communication to key stakeholders and users on updates, issues, and any other key areas impacting Market Access reporting
  • Serves as the primary build/maintain owner for Market Access reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, Veeva), with a focus on payer analytics, formulary status, account-level performance, and chargeback/contract reporting
  • Continuously evolves dashboards as field needs change — adding new views, metrics, or filters, retiring what's no longer useful, and improving usability based on field feedback
  • Manages operational calendars for dashboard refreshes, reporting releases, and alignment cycles so Market Access field teams always have current data
  • Troubleshoots and resolves reporting and data issues surfaced by dashboard users, partnering with IT and Data Management on root-cause fixes
  • Drives automation and modernization of dashboard builds to improve scalability, self-service capability, and turnaround time for new report requests
  • Supports the payer data mastering process — including payer/plan hierarchies, account and territory mapping, and cross-source reconciliation — in close partnership with Data Management, so dashboards are built on a trusted source of truth
  • Works closely with Commercial Analytics to keep dashboards aligned with broader commercial data strategy, KPI definitions, and analytics roadmaps
  • Supports vendor relationships and deliverables related to payer data, formulary tracking, and access analytics (e.g., MMIT, IQVIA, Beghou, ZS), as they impact dashboard data quality
  • Acts as a liaison between Market Access field teams, Data Management, and Commercial Analytics to keep dashboard and data priorities aligned and sequenced
  • Helps establish QA standards and documentation for Market Access dashboards and underlying data, supporting audit readiness and data integrity

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree and 6+ years of relevant experience sales and/or marketing analytics or operations experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech or related industry
  • Master's degree preferred and 4+ years of similar experience noted above
  • 6+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech Market Access Operations, Trade/Channel Operations, or Commercial Operations directly supporting Market Access
  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience building and maintaining dashboards/reports (e.g., in Power BI) for a business or field audience
  • Market Access experience is required — proven track record supporting field Market Access teams such as Trade Account Managers, National Account Directors, Corporate Account Managers, Trade/Channel teams, and/or Payer Marketing
  • Hands-on experience with payer analytics, formulary tracking, account-level reporting, or access performance measurement
  • Strong understanding of payer data sources (e.g., MMIT, IQVIA, claims, specialty pharmacy, 867/secondary sales, chargebacks) and how they inform access and channel strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while leading complex initiatives through cross-functional influence rather than direct authority
  • Experience partnering with Data Management and/or Commercial Analytics teams to align reporting and data initiatives across functions
  • Exposure to a payer/account data mastering process (hierarchy management, data governance, reconciliation across sources) — a supporting skill, not the primary focus of the role
  • Proficiency with Power BI (or similar BI tools), SQL, advanced Excel, and data validation/QA techniques
  • Familiarity with Veeva CRM (Commercial) and understanding of data governance requirements specific to Market Access
  • Hands-on dashboard-building skill — comfortable owning a report from requirements through design, build, testing, and rollout
  • Strong understanding of Market Access operations, payer dynamics, and channel/trade economics, so dashboards reflect how the field actually works
  • Proficiency with tools and platforms that support field and payer reporting (Power BI, Veeva, MMIT, IQVIA, alignment applications)
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex payer and account data into clear, actionable dashboards for the field
  • Strong project management capabilities with demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional deliverables
  • Detail-oriented with rigorous data governance instincts, while maintaining a broad perspective on Market Access strategy and field execution priorities
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills; able to build trust and influence across field teams
