Job Description

Field Operations InternThe Field Operations Intern will support the coordination and execution of field activities by assisting in planning, communication, and administrative tasks. This role provides practical exposure to project operations within a large-scale infrastructure project environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the planning and organization of field activities to ensure smooth operations

  • Assist with site shift planning, including preparation of schedules and backup plans

  • Maintain and regularly update communication files, contact lists, and distribution lists

  • Support the organization of meetings, including scheduling, logistics, and documentation (minutes, action trackers)

  • Prepare and update the “Who is Who” directory and phone number lists for field teams

  • Assist in tracking routine operational activities and reporting updates as required

  • Provide general administrative and coordination support to the Field Operations team

Bachelor’s degree (or final-year student) in Business Administration, Project Management, Operations, Logistics, or a related field

Good organizational and time management skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Basic planning and coordination abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Team-oriented with a proactive and positive attitude

Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced field environment

About East African Crude Oil Pipeline

The East African Crude Oil Pipeline Project (EACOP) is a pipeline that will transport oil produced from Uganda’s Lake Albert oilfields to the port of Tanga in Tanzania where the oil will then be sold onwards to world markets. The pipeline is buried and once topsoil and vegetation have been re-instated people and animals will be able to cross freely anywhere along its length.
