About the role
BURN is seeking a Field Operations Assistant to support the efficient management of inventory, stock control, after-sales service, and facility operations.

The role is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory tracking, timely stock issuance and reconciliation, compliance with company procedures, and the smooth operation of the stockist point. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining high standards of operational excellence while supporting BURN's mission of delivering clean cooking solutions to households across Africa.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management and Stock Control:
  • Ensure safe, timely & effective flow of inventory in the last mile meeting BURN’s operating procedures and processes consistently
  • Overseeing stock storage processes including tagging and labelling.
  • Report the stock status to the warehouse supervisor/FOO on the daily basis.
  • Keep an accurate, and up to date track of inventory to minimize losses and damages.
  • Ensures recovery of lost inventory happens according to processes.
  • Ensure incoming product is received and managed/arranged appropriately according to BURN’s procedure
 
  • Stock Issuance and Month-end Stock Count:
  • Scan out IDC’s through nexus/buisy/kobo to the Agents and keep the records.
  • Scan in all IDC’s returned from Agents and update the report .
  • Be responsible for managing and running planned stock takes as well as cycle counts.
  • Manage and control inventory stock counting/inventory accuracy checks with support from warehouse supervisor and sales agents.
 
  • Facility and Government compliance.
  • Assume full responsibility of Stockist Point facility.
  • Comply with Safety and Security company procedures.
  • Ensure that licenses and local Government (TAE, Taxa de Lixo, Offloading taxes) are up to date
 
  • Aftersales:
  • Receiving the default product brought back for fixing and communicate resolution timelines to the customer.
  • Keep track of all swap IDC’s and ensure deadlines are met in alignment with Commercial
  • Troubleshoot and fixing defaulted products and updating the relevant reports after resolution.
Skills and Experience
  • 1-2 years of stock & Inventory management.
  • +- 1 years of supply chain management experience.
  • Understanding the FIFO/LILO Standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Grade 12 -Academic qualifications.
  • Very good interpersonal skills.
  • Preferably female Candidate.
