
Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) is a global health initiative funded by the U.S. Department of State for the period 2019-2027. EpiC is led by FHI 360, in partnership with Right to Care, Palladium International, and Population Services International, and leverages the expertise of regional and local partners. EpiC provides high-quality technical support at community, facility, district, regional, and national levels and works closely with stakeholders to strengthen health security systems and outcomes.
The U.S. Department of State in Indonesia is supporting EpiC to implement a Global Health Security (GHS) project from October 1, 2025, through January 31, 2027. The EpiC GHS Indonesia project aims to strengthen the country's capacity to prevent, detect, and respond to threats of zoonotic and emerging infectious diseases with pandemic potential in targeted geographic areas by:
Strengthening integrated disease surveillance systems; Accelerating laboratory confirmation and testing capacity; Strengthening cross-sectoral coordination, collaboration, and ownership prevention and management priority diseases.The project is led by a dedicated team based in Jakarta that works closely with three Provincial Coordinators and district-level Field Officers across the three target provinces: Banten, West Java, and East Java.
EpiC GHS staff collaborate with national and sub-national health authorities, including but not limited to Tim Koordinasi Daerah (TIKORDA) for One Health, local health offices, key decision-makers, Puskesmas, public health laboratories, and EpiC GHS subaward partners supporting community-based surveillance and risk communication activities.
The Field Officer of Kota Serang will work closely with the Banten Provincial Coordinator to provide planning, implementation, coordination, and monitoring support for the Global Health Security (GHS) implementation within the assigned province. The Field Officer will coordinate the technical implementation of project activities with relevant health authorities and subaward partners under the direction of the Provincial Coordinator and in close coordination with the EpiC GHS national technical team.
This position requires a high degree of integrity and accountability, strong communication and facilitation skills, effective stakeholder engagement, and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

The expected hiring salary range for this role is IDR 115,000,000 - 160,000,000 for annual basic salary. When determining an offer amount, FHI 360 factors in multiple considerations, including but not limited to: relevant years of experience and education possessed by the applicant, internal equity, market pay, and budget. For internal candidates, salary placement will also follow FHI 360’s current promotional increase guidelines.
