About this position: Field Office Administrator – Residential Lead in St. Francois, MO

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Support the project superintendent, quality control staff, safety staff, and craft labor with the collection and filing of paperwork (physical & digital formats), database entry and report generation, making copies, scanning paper originals, phones calls & emails, running errands, and other clerical duties.

· Work with and support the Field Cost Accountant in their duties.

· Work with and coordinate with corporate support staff as needed.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

· Education Requirements: Some college coursework required

· Level of Experience Requirements: 3+ years of demonstratable experience working in an office setting with duties which included/required – computer and network skills, inventory control, human resources, purchasing & customer service interaction, and supporting a field staff.

· Experience working in a construction related field.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

· Ability to organize the workflow of a construction office. Ability to adapt to existing workflows and suggesting new/improved workflows.

· Advance level of computer skills – MSWord, MSExcel, Sharepoint, email, databases, networks, etc.

· Ability and confidence in learning a new software system beyond a basic level.

· Ability to use and maintain common office tools – printers, network hardware, cameras, etc.

· Ability to set-up and maintain an organized paper-based file system.

· Ability to set-up and maintain an organized digital file system.

· Knowledge of organizational procedures and workflows – understanding how work moves through a company.

· Basic knowledge of relevant technologies or tools – e.g., Microsoft 365, communication platforms, or industry‑standard software.

· Knowledge of customer service practices – principles of providing quality service and managing inquiries professionally.

· Knowledge of data privacy and confidentiality principles – awareness of proper handling of sensitive information.

· Communication skills (written and verbal) – ability to convey information clearly and professionally.

· Time management and prioritization – balancing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.

· Problem‑solving and critical thinking – analyzing issues and selecting appropriate solutions.

· Interpersonal and teamwork skills – building rapport and collaborating effectively with others.

Work Environment

The job is performed in a field office (i.e. an office trailer at a construction yard) setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Travel will be required within the work area (Madison and St Francios Counties). The work schedule will require working more than 8-hours per shift, nominally working Monday through Friday, work on weekends will be occasionally required. The job requires the use of smart phones, cameras, tablets, computers, printers, etc. in the office. This work cannot be performed remotely or part-time.

Supervisory Responsibilities

· This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.

DOT Covered/Safety-Sensitive Role Requirements

· This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions.

Additional Qualifying Factors

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and must also be able to obtain access to military installations.
