Position

We are seeking a Field Network Technician to join our service team in the Bay Area, CA area.

Compensation: $20-24/hr. DOE

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of network connectivity, network security and Wi-Fi networks.
  • Good understanding of Windows servers environment and common operating systems
  • Ability to work with a variety of customers and vendors (some technical some non-technical)
  • Ability to lead clients through discovery phase (asking the right questions)
  • Aggressive problem solver
  • Ability to travel locally to different clients
  • Ability to communicate through phone / email / written documentation

Qualifications

  • Previous network field experience
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and concepts (SMTP, FTP, SMB, Ports, TCP/IP)
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience providing support to users using Windows Desktop Operating Systems and other mainstream Microsoft applications
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cohesively with clients
  • Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record

Bonus Skill Set

  • Good understanding of Mac OS environment
  • CompTIA Network+ certified
  • Previous experience working in managed IT services
  • Basic understanding of VOIP technology
