About Us: At Renewal by Andersen, a division of Andersen® Windows, we’re transforming the home improvement industry. Founded in 1903, Andersen Windows is the world’s largest and most recognized brand in window and door systems. Our mission is to deliver an unparalleled window and door replacement experience for homeowners.

Renewal by Andersen is looking for a Field Measurement Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you'll visit homeowners in their homes to assess project conditions, take accurate measurements and photos, document project details, and help ensure each project is properly prepared for installation.

You'll work closely with customers, Sales, and Installation teams while developing your knowledge of residential construction, building materials, and installation methods. If you have experience in construction, remodeling, home improvement, or a related field and enjoy working with people, solving problems, and paying attention to the details that make a project successful, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Visit customer homes to assess project conditions and gather information needed for installation
  • Take accurate measurements and photos of project areas
  • Sketch floor plans and document project details
  • Determine appropriate installation methods and estimate required materials
  • Review project details and orders with customers, answering questions and providing clear explanations
  • Complete accurate project documentation, installation instructions, and required paperwork
  • Develop knowledge of Renewal by Andersen products, installation methods, and industry terminology
  • Identify potential code compliance concerns and project requirements
  • Work closely with Sales and Installation teams to ensure clear communication and accurate project information
  • Manage assigned appointments and schedules while meeting commitments to customers and teammates
  • Identify and resolve customer or project issues and follow through to ensure they are addressed
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, accuracy, and customer experience
  • Follow established company processes and identify opportunities for improvement

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with a foundation in residential construction or a related field who is dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. The ideal candidate communicates well, takes pride in their work, and can build positive relationships with customers and teammates. You should be comfortable working independently, solving problems as they arise, and adapting to changing project conditions while maintaining a professional, can-do attitude.

You'll also need:

  • Hands-on experience in residential construction, remodeling, home improvement, building materials, or a related trade
  • Familiarity with common construction terminology and practices
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Comfort working with computers and learning new systems
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to meet company requirements for driving a company vehicle

Work Environments and Requirements

This is an active field position with changing locations and environments throughout the day. You should be comfortable:

  • Traveling to customer homes and project locations in a company vehicle
  • Working in both indoor and outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
  • Working in customer homes and navigating different project conditions
  • Working a flexible schedule based on customer appointments and business needs, including occasional evenings or weekends
  • Frequently bending, stooping, reaching, and moving throughout project areas
  • Safely lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
  • Communicating effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Employees must have a valid driver's license and meet company requirements to drive a company vehicle. Additional documentation may be required as part of the hiring process.

What We Offer

  • Medical, dental and vision insurance
  • Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance
  • Disability Insurance
