Job Description

Job Title:

Field Market Developer – Industrial/Performance Coatings-NAMThe Position is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive growth, differentiation, and customer engagement in the Industrial Coatings segment) for NAM region.

Execute and drive the growth strategy of additives for Industrial coatings in North America. This role leads strategic initiatives across product management, demand generation, and value proposition development, ensuring alignment with global priorities and NAM market needs.

Drive introduction of new products and identify new trends/needs. Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Technology, Product Management, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to drive profitable growth of the business.

Responsibilities Include:

Market Development & Growth

  • Identify and prioritize growth opportunities

  • Develop and execute field-level initiatives to drive product adoption and market penetration

  • Drive new product introductions and commercialization efforts

Customer Engagement & Technical Enablement

  • Travel and meet Customer and Distributors face to face to ensure business development

  • Provide technical guidance and application support to facilitate solution adoption

  • Translate customer needs and market trends into actionable insights for marketing, technology and business teams

Account Management

  • Close new sales and coordinate with regional Sales team.

  • Manage Key Accounts

  • Support pricing discussions

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Technology, and Product Management

  • Support training, events, and promotional activities

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track market development activities and impact on growth metrics

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and feedback

  • Contribute to business reviews and regional planning forums

Digital & Brand Activation

  • Lead/Drive digital marketing initiatives including content creation, SEO, and campaign execution

  • Ensure consistent brand representation across channels and touchpoints

  • Leverage digital tools to enhance customer experience and marketing effectiveness

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

  • Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related field

  • 5+ years hands on professional experience in Coatings Market with strong industry connections.

  • Experience in B2B marketing, product management, or commercial strategy

  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills

  • Proficiency in marketing tools, CRM platforms, and digital channels

  • Excellent technical and paints & coatings industry knowledge as well as application and formulation.

  • Strong Sales skills with high customer orientation

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

  • High willingness to explore new things and create new business models

  • Familiar with using common Office applications

  • Willingness to travel on a frequent basis (up to 50%)

The following are preferred for the role

  • Familiarity with technical product lines and application support

  • Master of Science degree

  • 5-10 years of direct sales or techno commercial experience in Coatings market

  • Experience in Adhesives & Sealants would be a plus

  • String marketing experience, Business analysis, and Project Management skills

What We Offer:

Base Pay Range: $111,000 - $162,800

The actual salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography. Local geographic pay differentials may not be reflected in the above pay range and will be discussed with you by a member of the HR team when applicable. Additionally, this role is eligible for incentive or sales variable compensation payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company's incentive plans, the Company's financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.
