The Opportunity

We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and driven Field Manager to lead our team of Field Technicians within our growing Energy and Utilities in the Telecommunications area of the business in Washdyke, Canterbury.

The primary purpose of the Field Manager role is to provide strong leadership to a team of Field Technicians, ensuring a motivated, high-performing workforce that consistently meets our customer commitments. This includes overseeing technicians who operate across all telecommunications work streams—Outside Plant (OSP), Inside Plant (ISP), Mobile, and Essential Services (ES).

  • Supervising the activities of the Field Technicians to achieve productivity targets and provide customers with quality service.
  • Fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Ensuring operational efficiency and service excellence across all work streams
  • Ensuring that we meet all KPI’s and SLA targets in line with our business objectives
  • Ensuring compliance with all company policy, standards, and procedures
  • Fostering the development of team members to enhance skills within the team and develop potential future leaders of the business.

What we are looking for

  • Level 4 NZQA qualification preferred, with demonstrable Telco experience or potential to lead a technical field team in a service-based industry
  • Supervisory Certificate or higher preferred, able to consistently demonstrate core management competencies
  • Formal training in Health and Safety Management
