About the role


We’re looking for Field Maintenance Technicians to support our East Coast Metals Mining Services team.

- FIFO from Brisbane, Cairns, or Townsville
- Flexible rosters: 15/13 or 8/6
- Supporting operations across the Mount Isa region

In this role, you’ll provide field-based maintenance and breakdown support across mobile and fixed plant equipment—playing a critical part in keeping our operations running safely and efficiently.

What you will be doing

  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical breakdowns on mobile and fixed plant;
  • Performing scheduled servicing, repairs, and maintenance;
  • Supporting site teams with equipment reliability and performance;
  • Identifying risks and taking action to ensure safe operations;
  • Contributing to maintenance planning and continuous improvement;
  • Providing on-site support and client engagement where needed;
  • Promoting and following strong safety practices and compliance standards.

What you will bring

  • Ability to diagnose and repair heavy vehicle or plant equipment faults;
  • Strong commitment to safety, risk awareness, and compliance;
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based environment;
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on quality and service delivery;
  • Valid driver’s license.


Learnable Skills:

  • Experience with Volvo trucks or mining equipment;
  • Exposure to auto electrical systems;
  • Knowledge of explosives-related compliance (AEC, ADG, MPU, AS2187);
  • HR license or similar;
  • Queensland Explosives Security Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
