The Contribution You’ll bring to this Role:

The Field Installation Services Supervisor is responsible for leading BCI's field installation service organization supporting the installation of engineered secondary containment systems for utility, EPC, and industrial customers. This position manages a team of approximately 7 field installation technicians, expected to grow to approximately 10, and is responsible for coordinating the complete field-installation process from initial customer notification through project completion. The supervisor owns the installation schedule, assigns technicians to projects, communicates project requirements and documentation, establishes project expectations and timelines, and serves as the primary escalation point for technicians and customers when field conditions or project execution do not proceed as planned. The successful candidate will combine strong people leadership, project coordination, construction/jobsite experience, customer communication, and practical problem-solving skills.

What You’ll Do at Justrite:

Field Service Scheduling & Coordination

• Receive installation requests from customer and subcontractor points of contact and coordinate installation timing.
• Maintain the master calendar of active and upcoming installation projects.
• Review project drawings, installation documentation, site requirements, and customer expectations before assigning resources.
• Assign technicians to projects based on workload, capability, location, and project requirements.
• Establish expected project timelines and communicate schedules and priorities to technicians and customers.
• Track active projects and proactively identify scheduling, staffing, material, or site-readiness issues.
• Conduct weekly field-service team meetings to review upcoming projects, assignments, priorities, challenges, and lessons learned.
• Coordinate with internal departments as necessary to ensure technicians have the information and materials needed to execute installations successfully.

Technician Leadership

• Directly supervise and develop a team of approximately 7 field installation technicians, with responsibility expected to expand to approximately 10.
• Provide clear direction, expectations, coaching, and feedback to field technicians.
• Develop technician capability through training, mentoring, and sharing installation best practices.
• Hold technicians accountable for safe, professional, and consistent execution of field work.
• Identify staffing and training needs as the field-service organization grows.
• Foster a culture of ownership, teamwork, responsiveness, and customer service.

Customer & Contractor Coordination

• Serve as the primary BCI field-service contact during the installation phase of customer projects.
• Establish effective working relationships with utility representatives, EPCs, subcontractors, general contractors, and project coordinators.
• Confirm site readiness and coordinate installation activities with the customer's construction schedule.
• Communicate project status, schedule changes, field conditions, and issues clearly and professionally.
• Work directly with customer and contractor personnel to resolve jobsite issues while protecting BCI's installation requirements and customer commitments.
• Represent BCI professionally in construction environments and maintain strong customer relationships.

Installation Quality & Technical Support

• Ensure installations are performed in accordance with BCI installation procedures, project drawings, and applicable requirements.
• Provide technicians with the appropriate project documentation and installation expectations before mobilization.
• Support technicians remotely when installation questions or unexpected conditions arise.
• Review field issues and determine when additional technical, operational, or management support is required.
• Reinforce proper installation practices involving liner layout, attachment, seaming, sealing, boots around piers and penetrations, filtration/drainage components, and final system completion.
• Promote consistent workmanship and attention to detail across the technician team.

Problem Resolution & Escalation

• Serve as the first point of escalation when field projects do not proceed according to plan.
• Quickly assess problems involving site conditions, installation methods, scheduling, customer expectations, personnel, or materials.
• Determine whether the issue can be resolved remotely or requires onsite intervention.
• Mobilize to the jobsite when necessary to provide direct troubleshooting and leadership.
• Escalate significant technical, operational, commercial, or customer issues to the appropriate BCI leadership.
• Ensure that lessons learned from difficult projects are communicated back to the team and incorporated into future installations.

Field Support

• Travel to customer jobsites as needed to support project execution, resolve installation issues, or assist technicians.
• Under normal operating conditions, travel is expected to be approximately 2–3 trips per quarter, with additional travel when project conditions require onsite support.
• Be capable of responding quickly to projects experiencing significant challenges.

Your Skills and Expertise:

To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:

• 5+ years of experience in field service, construction, installation, industrial services, or a related environment.
• Previous experience supervising or leading field personnel.
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work directly with customers, contractors, and project teams.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, project documentation, and installation instructions.
• ~20% to travel to jobsites as needed. Travel to jobsites when a project requires direct leadership, troubleshooting, or customer support.
• Ability to work effectively in construction and electrical-substation environments.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience in electrical utilities, substations, EPC construction, industrial construction, secondary containment, waterproofing, geomembranes, or related field services.
• Experience managing traveling technicians.
• Experience working with general contractors and subcontractors.
• Experience with engineered/site-specific installations.

Compensation:

Actual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance their overall total compensation package when Justrite Safety Group and their business units achieve annual business and financial targets.
