Plan and execute the removal, modification, rework, and installation of package controls and package systems to upgrade industrial gas turbine packages to customer specifications and schedule requirements. Applies knowledge in related turbo-machinery fields, conforms to all EHSS, quality, environmental, electrical, and Solar standards during performance of duties.

What you will do:

Applies technical, mechanical, electrical, and hydro-mechanical skills required to perform all aspects of controls and package system upgrades on supported product lines. Assist other FIRs on project deliverables. Works from limited documented instructions including engineering drawings and schematics. Operates, inspects, and maintains all equipment and tools required to complete a safe package systems upgrade. Applies skills in conduit and cable tray installation, tube bending and installation, and sub assembly techniques required to complete package systems upgrades. Assist in leading and training less experienced FIRs. Actively promote continuous improvement activities associated with PSU products and execution processes.

What you will have:

  • Must have great team-working skills and be willing to learn & work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment (field and factory).
  • A minimum of 1 year hands-on experience in turbo-machinery systems or equivalent is preferred.
  • Candidate must have a thorough understanding of factory and field EHSS (Environmental Health, Safety & Security) policies.
  • Thorough knowledge in the safe operation of all related tooling and equipment (power equipment, bench tools, hand tools, and inspection equipment)
  • Must have the ability to travel >75% of the time, domestically and internationally. Travel should be coordinated with teammates, while keeping a steady focus on minimizing cost.
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Clean Driving Record (this includes no moving violations within the last 12 months, no "2 point" violations within
  • the last 3 years, and no DUI's within the last 7 years.
  • Successfully complete physical exam and obtain offshore certification (OEUK or equivalent) by Solar-approved physician
  • Successfully complete offshore survival training (BOSIET - Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) and obtain certification.
  • Possess or be able to obtain a valid US Passport and legal TWIC (Transportation Worker's Identification Credential).
  • Be able to pass initial drug and alcohol testing required for DOT and DISA compliance.

What will set you apart:

  • Experience following documented instructions including engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Experience using associated applications such as Windchill, Citrix, Microsoft O365 apps (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint), FieldMobile
  • Previous travel or field experience.

Summary Pay Range:

$59,738.00 - $89,606.00
