MANTECH seeks a Field Innovation Lead for one of our Air Force and Space Programs in Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, FL. The Field Innovation Lead will analyze and review complex systems, functional data requirements, and continuous improvement opportunities to launch new products, services, and business models. This position is located at Cape Canaveral, FL

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide innovation support to advance and enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and mission support capability of the mission areas supporting the 5th Space Launch Squadron.
  • Assess and evaluate existing processes for innovation and continuous improvement opportunities, providing recommendations to the Government.
  • Analyze alternate innovative solutions and processes for identified CONOPS, business models, co-creation, customer experience, and technology improvements.
  • Monitor innovation and improvement projects and present regular progress reports to government leadership.
  • Support squadron leadership and the Innovation Officer with project planning, development, execution, tracking, and reporting, preparing to lead progress during absences.
  • Perform technical process management, concept and process analysis, and functional and data requirements analysis.
  • Research best practices elsewhere in government or industry for applicability and prepare documentation for innovation projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field (or 1.5 years of Technical Project Management or Software Development/Digital Engineering experience in lieu of each 1 year of the education/degree requirement).
  • 10+ years of DoD, Launch, Range, or Spacelift Integration experience, Continuous Improvement, Innovation/Software Development, or Program Management/Digital Engineering experience.
  • Specialization in key communication efforts and technologies, digital tools and architectures, workflow or task automation, or systems engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specialization in program management, strategic cloud-based computing platforms and applications, or ad hoc solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in evaluating and launching new products, services, business models, or processes within a government framework.
  • An active TS/SCI security clearance.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have an active SECRET security clearance. An active TS/SCI clearance is desired.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, machine and computer printer.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
