  • Oversee and manage the configuration, testing, and validation of ICSS and PLC system to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies during the Commissioning and Startup phase, collaborating with design Engineers and Vendors to implement necessary changes.
  • Provides functional advice to the client as required within contract limitations until Sailaway.
  • Site Location: Yantai, Shandong Province

Key Responsibilities

  • Advises and ensures BV’s safety standards are adhered to including use of the correct permits and its associated documents.
  • Assists in the development of Commissioning and Startup procedures (CSU) as directed.
  • Tracks and controls all documentation required for proper handover of CSU systems inclusive of closing all assigned Punch Items.
  • Provide guidance to ensure smooth execution of loop test, function test, site acceptance test and other commissioning activities.
  • Collaborate with equipment suppliers and contractors to ensure proper installation and commissioning of ICSS and other PLC controlled systems and components.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to ICSS and other PLC controlled systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to find solutions.
  • Stay updated on relevant regulations and standards related to ICSS systems in FLNG projects and ensure compliance throughout the commissioning process.
  • Provide regular progress reports to CSU manager, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and solutions.
  • Assists in the advanced planning and preparation for startup activities and major milestones.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of programs for the control of spares and consumables.
  • Advises on the startup effort ensuring compliance with the associated specifications and contracts and ultimately resulting in an efficient and timely turnover to the client.
  • Recording as built engineering changes on drawings and discrepancies.
  • Ensuring proper setup and testing of equipment as per supplier requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Engineering preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant Commissioning and startup experience preferred

Physical Demands:

• Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Stand, Kneel, Bend, Stoop, Move, and Walk long distances in and around confined, cluttered places, and uneven areas.

• See and hear naturally or with correction.

• Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with requirements of the job duties.

• Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls according to a set procedure.

• Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds.
