Clean Harbors is seeking a Field Human Resources Director, to oversee the development and execution of line of business focused people strategies that align and support overall strategy. Accountable for leading and developing a team of Field Human Resource Business Partners as well as partnering closely with Center of Excellence (COE) leadership teams across the Human Resources department to drive and deliver innovative and value-added solutions.

Leads the development and execution of HR strategic initiatives in alignment with business unit strategic plan;
Strategically work with business leaders to develop and deploy effective employee lifecycle planning including workforce planning, talent acquisition and employee development to meet current and future business needs and provide best in class HR service in support of overall company goals;
In partnership with COE leadership, identifies and prioritizes the needs of the business unit related to the HR centers of excellence (Comp, Benefits, Recruiting, Development);
Oversee the collaborating and negotiating of the collective bargaining negotiations of the collective agreement and interpreting the company's policies/procedures;
Lead and develop a team of HRBPs and Generalists;
Point of escalation for complex employee relations issues. Ensures effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees. Reducing legal risk and insurance regulatory compliance;
Partners with legal department as required;
Leverage knowledge of HR best practices / industry trends to deliver best in class HR programs and services.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources/Labor Relations/Business field;
8+ years of experience in a similar field;
Ability to bridge cross functional boundaries within an organization ability to make decisions in an adverse;
Situation conflict resolution, sound judgment, ability to balance business needs with the role of employee;
Advocate, strong influencing skills, experience in managing a team and multiple projects;
Solution oriented, strategic approach to problem solving, strong business acumen, strong change management skills, effective coaching skills, consulting, presentation/public speaking skills, project management;
Ability to travel up to 30%
