Our heavy equipment dealership client is hiring a Rental Field Service Technician
in the Dulles, VA area. This role is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing rental equipment in the shop and at customer job sites.
This is a strong opportunity for a technician with heavy equipment experience who can work independently, troubleshoot issues in the field, and provide professional service to customers.
What You’ll Do
Perform maintenance and repairs on rental heavy equipment
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and equipment performance issues
Travel to customer job sites to complete field repairs
Use technical manuals, software, and diagnostic resources to determine proper repair procedures
Prepare parts requests and document repair work accurately
Perform repairs safely and efficiently
Communicate professionally with customers, service teams, and internal personnel
Support shop and field service needs based on business demand
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 2 years of experience repairing heavy equipment, construction equipment, rental equipment, or related machinery
Strong mechanical aptitude
Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Ability to work independently in the field
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to read and use technical manuals, software, databases, and repair information
Well organized and able to prioritize workload
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to obtain CDL and/or DOT certification if required
High school diploma or GED required
Must be able to work overtime and flexible shifts as needed
