Job Description

To install, maintain and service Company equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain and repair Company equipment in field and/or onsite, by utilizing the most efficient methods to achieve expected manufacturers performance levels
  • Achieve productivity targets set by the division
  • Ensure that all special tools, equipment and spares issued by the company are used and looked after in the most appropriate way
  • Diligently complete all the necessary paperwork such as job sheets and installation reports associated with each maintenance call in accordance with the procedures set by the company
  • Maintain an adequate boot stock of spare parts for products which are supported in the field, to increase first-time fix rates Maintain an accurate record of all boot stock spares which have been issued to you as per company policy
  • May be required to do the network connectivity to the Company devices in conjunction with the customers IT representative
  • May be required to assist other engineers with troubleshooting of machine problems (face-toface and telephonically)

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Grade 12 or equivalent (essential)
  • Minimum of 5 years extensive experience in a similar role
  • Format Printers
  • Previous experience on high volume/production printing is essential
  • Previous experience on Ink Jet technologies beneficial
  • Must have a good working knowledge and experience in Colour devices
  • Must be proficient in MS Office
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer-service skills
  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Must be meticulous with the ability to diagnose and solve problems
  • Must be self-driven and able to work independently
