Department Overview
Field Engineer
- Conduct detailed review and specifications analysis of customer’s requirements on system, customer operation, and interface requirements
- Work with other PEs on setting quality standards on installation, documentation and optimization/test procedures.
- Work closely with Engineering Project Manager/Program Manager to manage customer’s expectations, contract deliverables and project goals
- Detailed Project / System Integration Activities
- Review final system design and obtain approval with customer, re-define equipment list, and prepare Factory Order structure
- Initiate and participate in the discussion/meeting with customer, product group, drop-ship vendor/service provider on solving technical issues involving system design, interfaces, operation and maintenance
- Generate local drop-ship equipment / installation material lists and initiate purchase requisitions.
- Prepare FAT and System Acceptance Plan (SAP) and obtain approval from customer.
- Generate System Factory build-book/system profile, co-ordinate delivery, stage system and conduct Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) with customer
- Conduct site survey and generate report to customer for site improvements or development work to achieve FNE readiness.
- Conduct detailed analysis on coverage requirements and perform IM study, where necessary.
- Generate System Installation and As-Built Documentation
- Conduct system optimization and System Acceptance Tests with customer
- Troubleshoot, provide technical analysis and investigation of system faults.
- Provide technical analysis and investigation of system faults during DLP
Basic Requirements
- Engineering Degree or equivalent in Telecommunications
- Minimum 3 years experience in telecommunications and RF with projects involving complex system , applications and leading-edge technology.
- Experience in managing project for the detailed design, field implementation and system acceptance of telecommunications and RF projects for last 3 years.
- Technical leadership and up-to-date understanding of state-of–art on communication/RF technology and on system integration.
- Strong Networking knowledge for IP planning and design, routers/switching troubleshooting and configuration.
- An effective team player with strong interpersonal communication and presentation skill.
- Physical work and overseas travel is required.
